Its not your Fault

“It’s not your fault, but it is your responsibility” – anonymous wise friend.

My friend once said that to me. At first, it bothered me. Not fair, I thought. But on reflection, I do see that there’s truth in those words and some wise advice, which brings us to you. With supplements, it isn’t your fault — first, a recap.

You now know why supplement companies exaggerate or downright lie about the effectiveness of their supplements. They make bold promises, show happy, beautiful, fit people in their advertisements with the suggestion that if you buy their ish, you too can be like them. And they pay big bucks to marketing agencies and copywriters to press your buy buttons.

You know that the media doesn’t help. They make things worse by making clickbait headlines that go viral, creating a storm of confusion. Celebrities who have no idea what they are talking about and celebrity doctors with their agendas don’t help, either. It truly is a minefield of misinformation.
And now we have fake news and “alternative facts” to deal with. Great… just great.

You may have heard of the book “The pH Miracle,” which popularised a diet based on pH levels. If you haven’t, don’t worry about it. It’s a scam.

The BBC reported that Robert Young, the author, was convicted on two charges of practising medicine without a license after it was found out that he bought his doctorate!

This all came to a head after a woman dying from breast cancer was administered baking soda intravenously, which caused her condition to worsen until she died.

He now faces up to 3 years in prison.

This is a sombre lesson on how the spread of misinformation can have terrible consequences.

The stakes are high here. Yes, it’s difficult to separate fact from fiction when the deck is stacked against you. Yes, I know you’re busy. And yes, I know you aren’t ready to give up on your supplement routine and your health just yet.
